Don't tell me what to do (poem I wrote in 2000)

Don't tell me how I'll feel.
The preoccupation is worse than the real
thing. I am fully aware
of what I have to do to prepare.
So don't tell me what to do.
the present is not when I need you
except for support, you know.
It's time for it to happen; let's go.

Designer house cat?

I grew up with a house cat as a pet most of my childhood, but have had a small dog instead since graduating from college. So it's been a while since I have had a cat for a pet, but the Toyger looks very intriguing. I never even knew there were people who bred domesticated cats. I think it would be ever cooler breeding big cats, but perhaps that's not even possible.
